Tax Collector

Maxine Scherer was elected to serve as the Township's Tax Collector. The duties of the Tax Collector are to collect the Township's property taxes and per capita taxes. In addition to collecting taxes for the Township, Ms. Scherer collects the Palmerton Area School District and Carbon County's taxes from residents and property owners in Lower Towamensing Township.

All in-person tax collection hours will be held at the Township Building, 595 Hahns Dairy Road, Palmerton, PA 18071
