Road Maintenance

Lower Towamensing Township strives to maintain the highest degree of service possible for maintaining and improving our Township roads and facilities. The department is based out of the Township Municipal Building. Currently, Lower Towamensing Township has three full-time employees and several part time summer and winter employees. The regular scheduled hours are 6:00am to 2:00pm. However, depending on weather conditions, staffing, and emergencies those hours can vary to ensure the best possible service possible.

The road maintenance department provides a variety of services to our residents. They are responsible for the maintenance and improvement of township roadways and right of way maintenance, but also maintains all township infrastructure, township right of ways, buildings, parks, signs, storm drainage, winter maintenance, road equipment and vehicle maintenance. The department also responds to weather related emergencies to keep our roads open and safe for our residents and visitors.
