General Administration
The Administration Department is tasked with general administrative duties, which include the following:
Answer the Townships phones
Handle complaints
Attend public meetings
Create meeting agendas
Take accurate and professional minutes
Direct residents and answer questions
Handle Human Resources for the Township
Complete payroll and track hours
File Township records
Handle Right to Know record requests
Lower Towamensing Township strives to maintain the highest degree of service possible for maintaining and improving our Township roads and facilities. The department is based out of the Township Municipal Building at 595 Hahns Dairy Road, Palmerton, PA 18071. The regular scheduled hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm daily. However, from time to time, our office is closed for training, meetings, conferences, and time off. Office closings are posted as far in advance as possible and we appreciate your understanding for the office closing. We always recommend calling prior to arriving at the office to ensure someone can help you and provide the best possible service.
The Administration Department provides a variety of services to our residents. This department is responsible for the administration of Township policies and programs. It serves as the primary contact point for residents who have questions, concerns, or want to learn more about our community. They handle the administrative tasks and functions under the Township Code and coordinate Township policy with directions from the Board of Supervisors. In addition, the Administration Department handles the finances for the Townships.
